The 2026-27 wrestling season registration is open now. Our program starts on November 4th and goes through middle of March.
Ages:
IKWF (Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation) Age Groups:
Senior (12-14yrs old)
Novice (10-12yrs old)
Intermediate (8-10yrs old)
Bantam (6-8yrs old)
Tot (6 & younger)

-$100 for Bantam through Senior
-$60 for Tots
all prices include practice uniform, singlet and entry fee to IKWF State tournament series.
Most families get their own wrestling shoes and headgear for their kids. But we do have some pairs of shoes and plenty headgear for the kids if needed. We just can't guarantee size on the shoes.
*All participants must purchase USA Wrestling athlete membership:
USA Wrestling ($60 paid to USAwrestling)
If you are new to this process, luckily it’s pretty simple. You just need to create an account for each athlete and pay the $60 membership charge. When you get to the part where it asks for club affiliation you can select Villa Park Young Warriors. Here is their instructions with a video if needed:
They then must be age verified by sending a copy of their birth certificate to the IKWF via email at ikwf@ikwf.org and state they are with Villa Park Young Warriors.
BOTH the USA card needs to be bought and their birth certificate needs to be emailed to the IKWF before they can compete in tournaments.
*Parent meeting Monday, Nov 2nd at 6PM Willowbrook HS Wrestling Room - preferably use door 19 in the back of the school to get in. You can also enter the main front doors and walk all the way to the back.
*First practice Wednesday, Nov 4th at 6:00-7:30 PM Willowbrook HS Wrestling Room. Going forward practices for all ages are every Tues, Wed, and Thurs until mid March (subject to change with the holidays or tournaments)
*We will have a dedicated practice for ages 6 and under on Mondays 6-7pm. Kids who desire to practice more throughout the week will be allowed to do so, but seeing how they do in these weekly practices first is recommended.
*Tournaments are available to those who wish to compete most Sundays in Dec - Mar and typically cost $30-35/kid each.
